Speed up the document completion process, improve compliance, and reduce risks with our eWitnessing solution.
eSign offers eWitnessing to enable signers and authors to identify a witness(es) to sign a document. There are certain documents where a witness is legally required, for example, land transfers, power of attorney, shareholder agreements, and loan documents. Save time, money, resources, and speed up the document completion process with our e-witnessing feature.
Once the document is signed, you can download a Certificate of Completion, providing solid proof of the signing and witnessing process. This certificate contains details about the signing and witnessing parties, including their address, email, IP address, and timestamps.
eWitnessing can expedite the process of obtaining witness signatures.
The eWitness feature in eSign enables users to set up an envelope for recipients and designate a witness requirement for signing the document. The document’s author or signer can specify and enter the witness’s details.
The process involves the signatory receiving the document by email, specifying the name, email address, and phone number of the witness for SMS authentication, and applying their signature. Once the signatory has signed, the witness will receive a separate email asking them to add their signature and details. They will be required to verify their identity through two-factor authentication before they can access the document.
